Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44747

Yahya narrated to us, on the authority of Ismail, Amer narrated to us, Muhammad bin Ubaid narrated to us, Ismail bin Abi Khalid narrated to us, on the authority of a man, on the authority of Al-Sha’abi, He said, Omar passed by Talha and mentioned its meaning. He said, Omar passed by Talha and saw that he was interested. He said, “Perhaps you are displeased with the leadership of your cousin.” He said, “It means.” Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, said, “No, but I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘I know of a word that a man does not say when His death, unless it was a light in his scroll or he found a soul for it at death. Omar said, “I will tell you about it.” It is the word that His uncle meant by it a testimony that there is no god but Allah. He said, “It is as if a cover has been removed from me.” He said, “I am right.” If only he knew a word better than it. He would have commanded him to do so
