حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ قَوْمًا يَمْرُقُونَ مِنْ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنْ الرَّمِيَّةِ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ طُوبَى لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ وَقَتَلُوهُ عَلَامَتُهُمْ رَجُلٌ مُخْدَجُ الْيَدِ.
Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Khaythamah narrated to me, Shababah bin Siwar narrated to us, Nu’aym bin Hakim narrated to me, Abu Maryam narrated to me, Ali narrated to us Ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said that there are people who are departing from Islam as The arrow passes from the target. They recite the Qur’an. It does not go beyond their throats. Blessed are those who killed them, and those who killed him. Their sign is a man with an injured hand.
