Hadith #44854
Hajjaj narrated to us, Laith narrated to us, Bukayr bin Abdullah narrated to me, on the authority of Busr bin Saeed, on the authority of Ibn Al-Saadi Al-Maliki, that he said he used me Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, on the charity. When I finished it and gave it to him, he ordered me to do work, so I told him I only worked for God and my reward is due from God. He said, “Take what you have been given, for I have worked at the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, so he worked for me, so I said like this.” Your statement: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me: If you are given something without asking, then eat and give in charity.
