حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَأَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ لَقِيَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ عُقْبَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْوَلِيدُ مَا لِي أَرَاكَ قَدْ جَفَوْتَ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبْلِغْهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُ إِنِّي تَخَلَّفْتُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَإِنِّي كُنْتُ أُمَرِّضُ رُقَيَّةَ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ وَقَدْ ضَرَبَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَهْمٍ وَمَنْ ضَرَبَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَهْمٍ فَقَدْ شَهِدَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ إِلَى آخِرِهِ.
Abdullah told us, my father and Abu Khaythamah told me, they said: Muawiyah bin Amr told us, Zaida told us, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Shaqiq, he said: Laqi Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf al-Walid ibn Uqba. Al-Walid said to him, “What is the matter with me? I see you have turned away from the Commander of the Faithful, Othman, may God be pleased with him.” Abd al-Rahman said, “I informed him,” and he mentioned the hadith. As for his saying, “I was left behind on the day of Badr, I was nursing Ruqayyah, the daughter of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” May God bless him and grant him peace, until she died, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was struck for me by an arrow. May God bless him and grant him peace with an arrow. He bore witness and mentioned the length of the hadith until its end.
