Hadith #45129
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ، وَخَالِدٌ يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَمَّا الْمَنِيُّ فَفِيهِ الْغُسْلُ وَأَمَّا الْمَذْيُ فَفِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ.
Khalaf told us, Abu Ja`far, meaning al-Razi, and Khaled, meaning the miller, told us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Laila, On the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, he said: I was a man in distress, so I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said As for maniy, it is ablution, and as for pre-emission, it is ablution.
