Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45242

Waki` narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Laila, on the authority of al-Minhal, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Laila, he said: My father used to go to bed with Ali, and Ali was He wears summer clothes in the winter and winter clothes in the summer. He was told, “If you asked him.” He asked him and he said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He sent a message to me while I was suffering from a swollen eye on the Day of Khaybar. I said, “O Messenger of God, I have a swollen eye.” He spit in my eyes and said, “O God, remove it.” Heat and cold, and I have not found either heat or cold since that day. And he said, “I will give the standard to a man who loves God and His Messenger.” God and His Messenger love him and he is not one to run away, so the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, were honored for her and gave her to her.
