حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَبْعَثَنَّكَ فِيمَا بَعَثَنِي فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُسَوِّيَ كُلَّ قَبْرٍ وَأَنْ أَطْمِسَ كُلَّ صَنَمٍ.
Abdullah told us, Shayban Abu Muhammad told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, Yunus bin Khabbab told us, on the authority of Jarir bin Hayyan, on the authority of His father, that Ali, may God be pleased with him, said to his father, “I will send you to do what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent me.” I will level every grave and obliterate every idol.
