حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ‏.‏
Abdullah told us, Ishaq bin Ismail told us, Muhammad bin Fudayl told us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, on the authority of Abdul Rahman bin Abi Layla, he said, I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, say: I was a man in distress, so I asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said about it.
