Hadith #45376
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَرَى أَنَّ بَاطِنَ الْقَدَمَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِالْمَسْحِ مِنْ ظَاهِرِهِمَا حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ ظَاهِرَهُمَا.
Abdullah narrated to us, Ishaq bin Ismail narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, Al-Amash narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Abd Khair, on the authority of Ali, May God be pleased with him. He said: I was of the opinion that the soles of the feet were more deserving of wiping than the outsides of them, until I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said hello, wiping their backs
