Hadith #45381
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ، هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَخَيْرُهَا بَعْدَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عُمَرُ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ أَحَبَّ.
Abdullah told us, Wahb bin Baqiyya al-Wasiti told me, Khaled told us, on the authority of Ata’, meaning Ibn al-Sa’ib, on the authority of Abd Khair, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: Shall I not inform you of something good? This nation after its prophet Abu Bakr, and the best of it after Abu Bakr is Omar. Then He will make God is good wherever He loves...
