Abdul-Samad and Affan told us, they said, Dawud bin Abi Al-Furat told us, Abdullah bin Buraidah told us, Affan said, on the authority of Ibn Buraidah, on the authority of Abu Al-Aswad Al-Dili, he said, “I came to the city and a disease had struck it.” Abdul-Samad said, “They are dying a miserable death, so I sat down.” To Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him. A funeral passed by him, and its owner was praised well, so Omar, may God be pleased with him, said, “It is obligatory.” Then he passed.
