Hadith #45385
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَامَ عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَإِنَّا قَدْ أَحْدَثْنَا بَعْدَهُمْ أَحْدَاثًا يَقْضِي اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِيهَا مَا شَاءَ.
Abdullah told us, Wahb bin Baqiyya al-Wasiti told us, Khaled bin Abdullah told us, on the authority of Husayn, on the authority of al-Musayyab bin Abdul Khair, On the authority of his father, he said: Ali stood up and said: The best of this nation after its prophet is Abu Bakr and Omar, and indeed, we have narrated events after them that decide God Almighty does it as He wills
