Hadith #45474
Abd al-Rahman told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Abu Hashim al-Qasim ibn Kathir, on the authority of Qais al-Kharifi, who said: I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, say The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, preceded us, and Abu Bakr and a third of Omar, may God be pleased with him, preceded us. Then we were struck or injured. A trial, as God Almighty willed. Abu Abd al-Rahman said, “My father said the same thing. Then we were struck by a trial. He wanted to humble himself with that.”
