Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45496

Abdullah told us, my father and Abu Khaythamah told me, they said Ismail told us, Ayyub told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibrahim bin So-and-so bin Hunayn, on the authority of his grandfather, Abdullah bin Hunayn, said: Ali, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade me from wearing saffron and Al-Qasi, on the authority of Khatam Al-Dhahab, and on reciting while bowing. Ayoub said, or he said, to recite while bowing. Abu Khaythamah said in his hadith: I narrated Ismail returned from his grandfather Hunayn.
