حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِفْتَاحُ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُضُوءُ وَتَحْرِيمُهَا التَّكْبِيرُ وَتَحْلِيلُهَا التَّسْلِيمُ‏.‏
Abdul Rahman told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, on the authority of Muhammad Ibn al-Hanafiyyah, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The key to prayer is ablution, its prohibition is the takbeer, and its permissibility is the salutation.
