حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، وَشُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ الْأَجْدَعِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلَّا أَنْ تُصَلُّوا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ.
Abd al-Rahman told us, on the authority of Sufyan, and Shu`bah, on the authority of Mansour, on the authority of Hilal, on the authority of Wahb ibn al-Ajda`, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. On the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “Do not pray after the afternoon prayer unless you pray while the sun is high.”
