Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45837

Abu Usama told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr, he said, on the Day of the Trench, I and Omar bin Abu Salamah was in the atam in which the wives of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the atam of Hassan, and he used to lift me up and I raised him, and when he lifted me up I knew my father when he was passing to Banu Qurayza, and he was fighting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the day of the Trench. He said, “Who will go to Banu Qurayza?” So he fights them, and I said to him when he returned, O Father, by God, if I knew you when you passed by, going to Banu Qurayza, and he said, O My son, by God, if the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, were to gather all his parents for me and ransom me with them, he would say, “May my father and mother be sacrificed for you.”
