Hadith #45533
Waki` narrated to us, Mas`ar and Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Husayn, on the authority of Umair bin Sa`id, he said: Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: I would not stay A man has had to pay a punishment and he dies, and I find in myself some of them except the one who drinks alcohol. If he dies, I will pay his blood money, and Sufyan added, and that is because the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He, peace and blessings be upon him, did not enact it
