Hadith #45547
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ وَكِيعٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حُنَيْنٍ، وَقَالَ، عُثْمَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا أَقُولُ نَهَاكُمْ عَنْ الْمُعَصْفَرِ وَالتَّخَتُّمِ بِالذَّهَبِ.
Waki` and Uthman bin Umar told us, they said: Usama bin Zayd told us, Waki` said, I heard Abdullah bin Hunayn, and he said, Uthman on the authority of Abdullah bin Hunayn, I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, say: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade me, and I do not say we forbid you. About plastering and sealing with gold.
