Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45579

Abdullah told us, Uthman bin Abi Shaybah told us, Muhammad bin Fudayl told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Uthman, on the authority of Zazan, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, he said: Khadija asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, about two sons who died for her in pre-Islamic times, and the Messenger of God said: May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. They are both in Hell. He said, when he saw the hatred on her face, he said, “If I saw where they were, I would hate them.” She said, “O The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “My son from you.” He said, “In Paradise.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “The believers and their children are in Paradise, and indeed the polytheists and their children will be in Hell. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, recited {And those who believe and I follow them. Their descendants with faith We have joined their descendants with them.
