Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45611

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, he said, I heard Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, he said, I heard Masoud ibn Al-Hakam, he said, I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, Hajjaj said, he said, Ali, may God be pleased with him, told us, he said, I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him. He, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up at a funeral, so we stood up, and I saw him sitting down, so we sat down.
