حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ، لَهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ سَالِمٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُلَيْلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ أُعْطِيَ كُلُّ نَبِيٍّ سَبْعَةَ نُجَبَاءَ مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ وَأُعْطِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ نَجِيبًا مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ مِنْهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا.
Abdul Razzaq told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of a sheikh, called Salem, on the authority of Abdullah bin Malil, who said: I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, he says: Every prophet was given seven nobles from his nation, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was given fourteen nobles from His nation included Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them.
