Abdullah told us, Amr bin Muhammad bin Bukayr al-Naqid told us, Abdullah bin Daoud al-Khuraibi told us, on the authority of Ali bin Salih, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim ibn Damrah, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said that the Witr is not obligatory, but rather it is a sunnah enacted by the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. So recite Witr, O people of the Qur’an.
