Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45688

Aswad ibn Amir, Husayn, and Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri narrated to us, they said: Israel narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Hubayra ibn Yarim, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: I said to Fatima: If you came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and asked him for a servant, he would exhaust you. Grinding and working. Hussein said, “The grinding and working has exhausted you.” Likewise, Abu Ahmad said, “She said, ‘Go with me.’ He said, ‘So I went with her. So we asked him, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Shall I not guide you to what is better for you than that, when you two go to bed? So they glorified God thirty-three times, and praised Him thirty-three times, and glorified Him thirty-four times, and that is a hundred on the tongue and a thousand in the scale. Then Ali, may he be pleased with him, said: By God, I did not abandon it after I heard it from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, “A man, not even a night.” Siffin. He said, “Not even on the night of Siffin.”
