حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَلَى فُرْضَةٍ مِنْ فُرَضِ الْخَنْدَقِ فَقَالَ شَغَلُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَرَبَتْ الشَّمْسُ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ أَوْ بُطُونَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا.
Muhammad bin Ja`far told us, Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Al-Hakam, on the authority of Yahya bin Al-Jazzar, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said that it was the Day of the Parties, during the obligatory prayer of the Trench, so he said, “We have been distracted from the middle prayer until the sun has set.” God filled their graves and their houses or their bellies and their houses with fire.
