Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45822

Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir told me, on the authority of Muadh bin Abdul Rahman bin Othman Al-Taymi, on the authority of His father, he said, “We were with Talha bin Ubaid Allah while we were in a state of sanctuary, and a bird was given to him as a gift, while Talha lay down. Some of us ate and some of us were hesitant.” When Talha woke up, he picked up who had eaten it and said, “We ate it with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.”
