Hadith #49004
وَعَنْ طَاوُسٍ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ أَتَى بِوَقَصِ الْبَقَرِ فَقَالَ: لَمْ يَأْمُرْنِي فِيهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ. رَوَاهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ وَالشَّافِعِيُّ وَقَالَ: الْوَقَصُ مَا لَمْ يَبْلُغِ الْفَرِيضَةَ
On the authority of Tawus, that Muadh bin Jabal brought the cow’s calves and said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not command me to do anything about it. It was narrated by Al-Daraqutni and Al-Shafi’i, and he said: Waqs is as long as it does not reach the obligatory prayer.
