Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #49033
Hadith #49033
On the authority of Omar ibn al-Khattab, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to give me gifts, and I would say: Give him because he is poorer than me. So he said: “Take it, finance it, and give it in charity. Whatever comes to you of this money and you are not honorable or begging, take it. And money, do not pursue it yourself.”
