Hadith #49034
On the authority of Samurah ibn Jundub, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Mistakes are like drudges with which a man scratches his face, so whoever wishes may remain on it.” And whoever wishes to leave it, unless he asks a man of authority or in a matter for which he can find no alternative.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and Al-Tirmidhi And Al-Nasa’i
