Hadith #49386
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «اقرؤوا الْقُرْآنَ بِلُحُونِ الْعَرَبِ وَأَصْوَاتِهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَلُحُونَ أَهْلِ الْعِشْق وَلُحُون أهل الْكِتَابَيْنِ وسيجي بعدِي قوم يرجعُونَ بِالْقُرْآنِ ترجع الْغِنَاءِ وَالنَّوْحِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ مَفْتُونَهٌ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ يُعْجِبُهُمْ شَأْنُهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شعب الْإِيمَان
On the authority of Hudhayfah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Recite the Qur’an with the tunes of the Arabs and their voices, and beware of the tunes of the people of love and the tunes of the people of The two Scriptures, and after me there will come a people who will return with the Qur’an, singing will return, and lamentation will not go beyond their throats, their hearts mesmerized and the hearts of “Those whose affairs amaze them.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Iman
