Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #49394

He said: O Muhammad! The Qur’an was revealed in seven letters.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, and in a narration by Ahmad and Abu Dawud: He said: “There is none of it except the one who is sufficient and sufficient.” And in a narration According to Al-Nasa’i, he said: “Indeed, Gabriel and Michael came to me, and Gabriel sat on my right and Michael on my left, and Gabriel said: Read the Qur’an.” Concerning one letter, Michael said: Increase it until it reaches seven letters, for every letter is sufficient.
