وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَقْرَأَنِي جِبْرِيل على حرف فَرَاجعه فَلم أزل استزيده ويزيدني حَتَّى انْتهى إِلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ» . قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ تِلْكَ السَّبْعَةَ الْأَحْرُفَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ فِي الْأَمْرِ تَكُونُ وَاحِدًا لَا تَخْتَلِفُ فِي حَلَالٍ وَلَا حرَام
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Gabriel recited to me a letter, then he reviewed it, and I kept asking for more and more until It ended up being seven letters. Ibn Shihab said: I have been informed that those seven letters are only one in command and not You disagree about what is permissible or what is forbidden
