وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تُكْثِرُوا الْكَلَامَ بِغَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ كَثْرَةَ الْكَلَامِ بِغَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ قَسْوَةٌ لِلْقَلْبِ وَإِنَّ أَبْعَدَ النَّاسِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْقَلْبُ الْقَاسِي» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
On the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not talk too much without mentioning God, for too much Speech without the remembrance of God hardens the heart, and the furthest of people from God is a hard heart.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi
