Hadith #49591
On the authority of Ibn Umar, that when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sat on his camel while setting out on a journey, he would say “Allahu Akbar” three times and then say: (Glory be to Him who This was subjected to us, and we would not be able to abide by it, and indeed to our Lord we will return.) Oh God, we ask you in our journey of this righteousness. And piety and deeds that You are pleased with. O God, make this journey easy for us and lengthen for us its aftermath. O God, you are the companion in the journey and the caliph in Family and wealth. Oh God, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, the gloominess of the outlook, and the bad upheaval in wealth and family.” And if he returns He said them and added to them: “They are repentant, they are worshipers of our Lord, they are thankful.” Narrated by Muslim
