وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ مَلَكَ زَادًا وَرَاحِلَةً تُبَلِّغُهُ إِلَى بَيْتِ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ فَلَا عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَمُوتَ يَهُودِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَقُولُ: (وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حَجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِليهِ سَبِيلا)
رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ. وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ مَقَالٌ وَهِلَالُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَجْهُولٌ والْحَارث يضعف فِي الحَدِيث
On the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever has provisions and a camel to deliver him to the House of God, and does not perform Hajj, may not perform Hajj.” He must die as a Jew or a Christian, and that is because God, Blessed and Most High, says: (And God has the duty of the people to perform the Hajj to the House, whoever is able to make a way to it.)
Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: This is a strange hadith. There is an article in its chain of transmission, Hilal bin Abdullah is unknown, and Al-Harith is weak in the hadith.
