وَعَن حَرَامِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُحَيِّصَةَ: أَنَّ نَاقَةً لِلْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ دَخَلَتْ حَائِطًا فَأَفْسَدَتْ فَقَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَن أَهْلِ الْحَوَائِطِ حِفْظَهَا بِالنَّهَارِ وَأَنَّ مَا أَفْسَدَتِ الْمَوَاشِي بِاللَّيْلِ ضَامِنٌ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا. رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه
On the authority of Haram bin Saad bin Muhaiyya: A she-camel belonging to Al-Baraa bin Azib entered a wall and spoiled, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, decided. The people of the walls are responsible for protecting them during the day, and whatever livestock spoil them at night is responsible for their people.
