وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى فِي السَّيْلِ الْمَهْزُورِ أَنْ يُمْسَكَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرْسَلَ الْأَعْلَى عَلَى الْأَسْفَل. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه
On the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, decreed that the flood should be held until it reached The ankles, then send the top over the bottom.
