Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51057
Hadith #51057
On the authority of Ibn Umar: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, cut down the palm trees of Banu al-Nadir and burned them. Hassan says:
A widespread fire broke out at the battlefield of Banu Luayyah at al-Buwayrah.
And about that was revealed: “Whatever plant you cut or leave standing on its roots, it is by God’s permission.”
