Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3661
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ الْأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَنِي وَمَنْ يَعْصِ الْأَمِيرَ فَقَدْ عَصَانِي وَإِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ فَإِنْ أَمَرَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَعَدَلَ فَإِنَّ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ أَجْرًا وَإِنْ قالَ بغَيرِه فَإِن عَلَيْهِ مِنْهُ»
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever obeys me has obeyed God, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed God, and whoever obeys The prince has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the prince has disobeyed me. The Imam is only a shield behind whom one fights and one is protected from him. If he orders By fearing God and being just, he will have a reward for that, and if he says otherwise, then he will have a reward for it.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3662
وَعَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ مُجَدَّعٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطيعُوا» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Umm al-Husayn, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If a mad servant is commanded over you who leads you by the Book of God, then listen to him.” And obey. Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3663
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَإِنِ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ زَبِيبَةٌ» . رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
And on the authority of Anas that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave is appointed over you, it is as if his head is a raisin.” . Narrated by Al-Bukhari

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3664
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «السَّمعُ والطاعةُ على المرءِ المسلمِ فِيمَا أحب وأكره مَا لَمْ يُؤْمَرْ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَإِذَا أُمِرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَلَا سَمْعَ وَلَا طَاعَةَ»
On the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Hearing and obedience are required of a Muslim in what he likes and dislikes, as long as he is not commanded to disobey. “He was commanded to disobey, but there was no listening or obedience.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3665
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ إِنَّمَا الطَّاعَةُ فِي الْمَعْرُوف»
On the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “There is no obedience in disobedience, but obedience in what is right.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3666
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ: بَايَعْنَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ وَعَلَى أَثَرَةٍ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى أَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَعَلَى أَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ أَيْنَمَا كُنَّا لَا نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: وَعَلَى أَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ تَرَوْا كُفْرًا بَوَاحًا عِنْدَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِيهِ بُرْهَانٌ
On the authority of Ubadah ibn al-Samit, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, pledged allegiance to us on hearing and obedience in times of hardship, ease, and comfort. And for compulsion, and for his influence on us, and for us not to dispute the matter with its people, and for us to speak the truth wherever we are, and not to fear for the sake of God. Blame the blamer. And in a narration: And we will not dispute the matter with its people unless you see clear disbelief for which you have clear proof from God from God.

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3667
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: كُنَّا إِذَا بَايَعْنَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ يَقُولُ لَنَا: «فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ»
On the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: When we gave the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, the pledge of allegiance to listen and obey, he would say to us: “Regarding "You were able"

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3668
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «من رأى أميره يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَصْبِرْ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُفَارِقُ الْجَمَاعَةَ شبْرًا فَيَمُوت إِلَّا مَاتَ ميتَة جَاهِلِيَّة»
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever sees his leader hating him, let him be patient, for there is no one who separates from the group by even an inch and dies.” Unless he died a pre-Islamic death.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3669
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ وَفَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَمَاتَ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً وَمَنْ قَاتَلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عِمِّيَّةٍ يَغْضَبُ لِعَصَبِيَّةٍ أَوْ يَدْعُو لِعَصَبِيَّةٍ أَوْ يَنْصُرُ عَصَبِيَّةً فَقُتِلَ فَقِتْلَةٌ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ وَمَنْ خَرَجَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي بِسَيْفِهِ يَضْرِبُ بَرَّهَا وَفَاجِرَهَا وَلَا يَتَحَاشَى مِنْ مُؤْمِنِهَا وَلَا يَفِي لِذِي عَهْدٍ عَهْدَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “Whoever abandons obedience and separates from the group and dies He died a pre-Islamic death, and whoever fights under a blind banner becomes angry because of fanaticism, or calls for fanaticism, or supports fanaticism. So he was killed. He was a pre-Islamic killer, and whoever revolts against my nation with his sword will strike the righteous and the immoral in it, and he will not avoid its believer, nor will he fulfill his covenant with him. He is not from me and I am not from him.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3670
وَعَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «خِيَارُ أئمتكم الَّذين يحبونهم وَيُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُصَلُّونَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيُصَلُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَشِرَارُ أَئِمَّتِكُمُ الَّذِي تبغضونهم ويبغضونكم وتلعنوهم ويلعنوكم» قَالَ: قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا نُنَابِذُهُمْ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: «لَا مَا أَقَامُوا فِيكُمُ الصَّلَاةَ لَا مَا أَقَامُوا فِيكُمُ الصَّلَاةَ أَلَا مَنْ وُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَالٍ فَرَآهُ يَأْتِي شَيْئًا مِنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ فَلْيَكْرَهْ مَا يَأْتِي مِنْ مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَنْزِعَنَّ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja’i, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “The best of your imams are those who love them and who love you, and you bless them and they pray.” Upon you are the worst of your imams, whom you hate and they hate you, and you curse them and they curse you.” He said: We said: O Messenger of God, shall we not oppose them? Then? He said: “No, as long as they establish prayer over you. No, as long as they establish prayer over you. Except for the one over whom a ruler has been appointed and sees him committing any act of disobedience to God, let him hate it.” It comes from disobedience to God and does not remove a hand from obedience.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3671
وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ تَعْرِفُونَ وَتُنْكِرُونَ فَمَنْ أَنْكَرَ فَقْدَ بَرِئَ وَمَنْ كَرِهَ فَقَدْ سَلِمَ وَلَكِنْ مَنْ رَضِيَ وَتَابَعَ» قَالُوا: أَفَلَا نُقَاتِلُهُمْ؟ قَالَ: «لَا مَا صَلَّوْا لَا مَا صَلَّوْا» أَيْ: مَنْ كَرِهَ بِقَلْبِهِ وَأنكر بِقَلْبِه. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Umm Salamah, she said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “There will be rulers over you, whom you recognize and deny. Whoever denies is acquitted, and whoever He disliked it, so he submitted, but whoever agreed and continued.” They said: “Should we not fight them?” He said: “Not as long as they prayed, not as long as they prayed,” meaning: whoever dislikes it. In his heart, and he denied it in his heart. Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3672
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً وَأُمُورًا تُنْكِرُونَهَا» قَالُوا: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «أَدُّوا إِلَيْهِم حَقهم وسلوا الله حقكم»
On the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to us: “Indeed, after me you will see traces and matters that you will deny.” They said: What do you command us, O Messenger of God? He said: “Render to them their rights and ask God for your rights.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3673
وَعَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: سَأَلَ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْجُعْفِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قَامَتْ عَلَيْنَا أُمَرَاءُ يَسْأَلُونَا حَقَّهُمْ وَيَمْنَعُونَا حَقَّنَا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ: «اسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَا حُمِّلُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ مَا حُمِّلْتُمْ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Wael bin Hajar, he said: Salama bin Yazid Al-Ju’fi asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: O Prophet of God, what do you think if it stands? We have princes who ask us for their rights and deny us our rights, so what do you command us to do? He said: “Listen and obey, for they are responsible for what they have been charged with.” And upon you is what you are burdened with.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3674
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم يَقُول: «مَنْ خَلَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ. وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “Whoever removes his hand out of obedience will meet God on the Day of Resurrection and there will be no proof.” For him. And whoever dies without a pledge of allegiance on his neck, he dies a death of pre-Islamic times.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3675
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيُّ خَلَفَهُ نبيٌّ وإِنَّه لَا نبيَّ بعدِي وسيكون حلفاء فَيَكْثُرُونَ» قَالُوا: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ: «فُوا بَيْعَةَ الْأَوَّلِ فَالْأَوَّلِ أَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّا استرعاهم»
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “The Children of Israel were ruled by the prophets. Whenever a prophet died, another prophet succeeded him. There will be no prophet after me, and there will be allies and they will multiply.” They said: What do you command us to do? He said: “Full the pledge of allegiance to the first, and give them their right to the first. “God will ask them about what He has commanded them.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3676
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا بُويِعَ لِخَلِيفَتَيْنِ فاقتُلوا الآخِرَ منهُما» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abu Saeed, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If allegiance is given to two caliphs, kill the other of them.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3677
وَعَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ هَنَاتٌ وَهَنَاتٌ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ أَمْرَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَهِيَ جَمِيعٌ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِالسَّيْفِ كَائِنًا مَنْ كانَ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Arfaja, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “There will be hardships and hardships, so whoever wants to make a difference in the matter of this nation, including all of them, so strike him with the sword, whoever he may be.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3678
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ أَتَاكُمْ وَأَمْرُكُمْ جَمِيعٌ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَشُقَّ عَصَاكُمْ أوْ يُفرِّقَ جماعتكم فَاقْتُلُوهُ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On his authority, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “Whoever comes to you and orders you all on one man wants to tear apart your staff or He disperses your group, so kill him.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3679
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «من بَايَعَ إِمَامًا فَأَعْطَاهُ صَفْقَةَ يَدِهِ وَثَمَرَةَ قَلْبِهِ فَلْيُطِعْهُ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ جَاءَ آخَرُ يُنَازِعُهُ فاضربوا عنق الآخر» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever pledges allegiance to an imam and gives him the deal of his hand and the fruit of his heart Let him obey him if he is able, and if another comes to dispute with him, then behead the other.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3680
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَسْأَلِ الْإِمَارَةَ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ وُكِلْتَ إِلَيْهَا وَإِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عنْ غيرِ مَسْأَلَة أعنت عَلَيْهَا»
On the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Samurah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me: “Do not ask for leadership, for if you give it to A question to which you have been entrusted, and if you give it to it for a question other than a question, you will help it with it.”

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3681
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَحْرِصُونَ عَلَى الْإِمَارَةِ وَسَتَكُونُ نَدَامَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَنِعْمَ الْمُرْضِعَةُ وَبِئْسَتِ الفاطمةُ» . رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “You will be keen on the emirate and you will regret it on the Day of Resurrection, so yes.” “The breastfeeding woman, and wretched is the Fatimah woman.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3682
وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي؟ قَالَ: فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى مَنْكِبِي ثُمَّ قَالَ: «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّكَ ضَعِيفٌ وَإِنَّهَا أَمَانَةٌ وَإِنَّهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خِزْيٌ وَنَدَامَةٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَخَذَهَا بِحَقِّهَا وَأَدَّى الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ فِيهَا» . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: قَالَ لَهُ: «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنِّي أَرَاكَ ضَعِيفًا وَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ لَكَ مَا أُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِي لَا تَأَمَّرَنَّ عَلَى اثْنَيْنِ وَلَا تَوَلَّيَنَّ مَالَ يَتِيمٍ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
On the authority of Abu Dharr, he said: I said: O Messenger of God, will you not employ me? He said: He struck my shoulder with his hand and then said: “O Abu Dharr, you are weak, and this is a trust, and on the Day of Resurrection it will be shame and regret.” Except he who takes it by right and pays what he owes in it.” And in a narration: He said to him: “Oh Abu Dharr, I see that you are weak, and I would like for you what I would like for myself. Do not appoint two husbands and do not give charge of the property of an orphan.” Narrated by Muslim

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3683
وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَرَجُلَانِ مِنْ بَنِي عَمِّي فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمِّرْنَا عَلَى بَعْضِ مَا وَلَّاكَ اللَّهُ وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّا وَاللَّهِ لَا نُوَلِّي عَلَى هَذَا الْعَمَلِ أَحَدًا سَأَلَهُ وَلَا أَحَدًا حَرَصَ عَلَيْهِ» . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ قَالَ: «لَا نَسْتَعْمِلُ عَلَى عَمَلِنَا مَنْ أَرَادَهُ»
On the authority of Abu Musa, he said: I entered upon the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with two men from my cousins, and one of them said: O Messenger of God, command us to do some of the things. On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “All of you are shepherds, and all of you are responsible for his flock, so the imam who is over the people is a shepherd.” He is responsible for his flock, and the man is a shepherd over his household, and he is responsible for his flock, and the woman is a shepherd over his household. Her husband and his child and she is responsible for them. A man’s servant is a shepherd of his master’s property and he is responsible for it. Indeed, each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.”

وَعَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم يقولُ: «مَا مِنْ والٍ بلي رَعِيَّةً مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَيَمُوتُ وَهُوَ غَاشٌّ لَهُمْ إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ»

" آمُرُكُمْ بِخَمْسٍ: بِالْجَمَاعَةِ وَالسَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ وَالْهِجْرَةِ وَالْجِهَادِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّهُ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْجَمَاعَةِ قِيدَ شِبْرٍ فَقَدْ خَلَعَ رِبْقَةَ الْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يُرَاجِعَ وَمَنْ دَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَهُوَ مِنْ جُثَى جَهَنَّمَ وَإِنْ صَامَ وَصَلَّى وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ مُسْلِمٌ ". رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ

وَعَن زِيادِ بنِ كُسَيبٍ العَدَوِيِّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ تَحْتَ مِنْبَرِ ابْنِ عَامِرٍ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابٌ رِقَاقٌ فَقَالَ أَبُو بِلَال: انْظُرُوا إِلَى أَمِير نايلبس ثِيَابَ الْفُسَّاقِ. فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ: اسْكُتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُول: «مَنْ أَهَانَ سُلْطَانَ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَهَانَهُ اللَّهُ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
On the authority of Ziyad bin Kusayb Al-Adawi, he said: I was with Abu Bakra under the pulpit of Ibn Amir while he was giving the sermon, wearing thin clothes, and Abu Bilal said: Look. وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَيْلٌ لِلْأُمَرَاءِ وَيْلٌ لِلْعُرَفَاءِ وَيْلٌ لِلْأُمَنَاءِ لَيَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنَّ نَوَاصِيَهُمْ مُعَلَّقَةٌ بِالثُّرَيَّا يَتَجَلْجَلُونَ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَلُوا عَمَلًا» . رَوَاهُ فِي «شَرْحِ السُّنَّةِ» وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَفِي رِوَايَته: «أنَّ ذوائِبَهُم كَانَتْ مُعَلَّقَةً بِالثُّرَيَّا يَتَذَبْذَبُونَ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ولَمْ يَكُونُوا عُمِّلوا على شَيْء»
And on his authority, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Woe to the princes, woe to the nobles, woe to the trustworthy people, so that people may wish on the Day of Resurrection.” Their forelocks are attached to the Pleiades, they jingle between the sky and the earth, and they have not done any work.” He narrated it in Sharh Sunnah” and it was narrated by Ahmad, and in his narration: “Their tails were attached to the Pleiades, they were oscillating between the sky and the earth, and they were not working on anything.”

وَعَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُعِيذُكَ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ إِمَارَةِ السُّفَهَاءِ» . قَالَ: وَمَا ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «أُمَرَاءُ سَيَكُونُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسُوا مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَنْ يَرِدُوا عليَّ الحوضَ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَأُولَئِكَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ وَأُولَئِكَ يَرِدُونَ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيّ
On the authority of Ka’b bin Ujrah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I seek refuge in God from the leadership of the foolish.” He said: What is that, O Messenger of God? He said: “There will be princes after me. Whoever enters upon them and believes their lies and helps them in their oppression, then they are not of me, and I am not And whoever does not enter upon them and does not believe in their lies and does not help them in their injustice, those are of me and I am of them. وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ سَكَنَ الْبَادِيَةَ جَفَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ الصَّيْدَ غَفَلَ وَمَنْ أَتَى السُّلْطَانَ افْتُتِنَ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ: «مَنْ لَزِمَ السُّلْطَانَ افْتُتِنَ وَمَا ازْدَادَ عَبْدٌ مِنَ السُّلْطَانِ دُنُوًّا إِلَّا ازْدَادَ من اللَّهِ بُعداً»
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “Whoever lives in the desert is foolish, whoever follows hunting is foolish, and whoever goes to the ruler is tempted.” Narrated by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Nasa’i, and in the narration of Abu Dawud: “Whoever restrains the Sultan is tempted, and no servant of his Sultan is close to God, except that he increases his distance from God.”

وَعَن المقدامِ بن معْدي كِربَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَرَبَ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَفْلَحْتَ يَا قُدَيْمُ إِنْ مُتَّ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَمِيرًا وَلَا كَاتبا وَلَا عريفا» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَحَبَّ النَّاسِ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَقْرَبَهُمْ مِنْهُ مَجْلِسًا إِمَامٌ عَادِلٌ وَإِنَّ أَبْغَضَ النَّاسِ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَشَدَّهُمْ عَذَابًا» وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «وَأَبْعَدَهُمْ مِنْهُ مَجْلِسًا إِمَامٌ جَائِرٌ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ

On his authority, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The best jihad is the one who speaks a word of truth before an unjust ruler.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3707
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِالْأَمِيرِ خَيْرًا جَعَلَ لَهُ وَزِيرَ صِدْقٍ إِنْ نَسِيَ ذَكَّرَهُ وَإِنْ ذَكَرَ أَعَانَهُ. وَإِذَا أَرَادَ بِهِ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ جَعَلَ لَهُ وَزِيرَ سُوءٍ إِنْ نَسِيَ لَمْ يُذَكِّرْهُ وَإِنْ ذَكَرَ لَمْ يُعِنْهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
On the authority of Aisha, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If God wants good for the prince, He will appoint for him an honest minister, and if he forgets, he will remind him.” And if he remembers, he helps him. And if he intended anything other than that, he appointed for him an evil minister. If he forgot, he did not remind him, and if he did remember, he did not help him.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and Al-Nasa'i

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3708
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الْأَمِيرَ إِذَا ابْتَغَى الرِّيبَةَ فِي النَّاسِ أَفْسَدَهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ
On the authority of Abu Umamah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “If the prince seeks to cause doubt among the people, he corrupts them.” Narrated by Abu Dawood

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3709
وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّكَ إِذَا اتَّبَعْتَ عَوْرَاتِ النَّاسِ أَفْسَدْتَهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان»
On the authority of Muawiyah, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “If you follow the faults of people, you will corrupt them.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in “Shu’ab Al-Iman”

وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ وَأَئِمَّةً مِنْ بَعْدِي يَسْتَأْثِرُونَ بِهَذَا الْفَيْءِ؟» . قُلْتُ: أَمَا وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ أَضَعُ سَيْفِي عَلَى عَاتِقِي ثُمَّ أَضْرِبُ بِهِ حَتَّى أَلْقَاكَ قَالَ: «أَوَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى خَيْرٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ؟ تَصْبِرُ حَتَّى تَلقانِي» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Abu Dharr, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “How can you and the imams after me monopolize this booty?” . I said: By the One who sent you with the truth, I will put my sword around my shoulders and then strike with it until I meet you. He said: “Shall I not guide you to something better than that?” Be patient Until you meet me.” Narrated by Abu Dawood

Mishkat al-Masabih # 18/3711
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَتَدْرُونَ مَنِ السَّابِقُونَ إِلَى ظِلِّ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟» قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ: «الَّذِينَ إِذَا أُعْطُوا الْحَقَّ قَبِلُوهُ وَإِذَا سُئِلُوهُ بَذَلُوهُ وَحَكَمُوا لِلنَّاسِ كحكمِهم لأنفُسِهم»
On the authority of Aisha, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “Do you know who will be the first to be under the shadow of God Almighty on the Day of Resurrection?” They said: God and His Messenger know best. He said: “Those who, when given the truth, accept it, and when asked, submit to it and judge for the people as they judge for themselves.”
