Hadith #51255
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The people of pre-Islamic times used to eat dirty things and leave dirty things, so God sent His Prophet. And He sent down His Book, and He made lawful what He made lawful, and made unlawful what He made unlawful, so what He made lawful is lawful, and what He forbade is unlawful, and whatever He remained silent about is pardoning, and He recited (Say no I find in what was revealed to me that it is forbidden to anyone who eats it, unless it is a dead body or blood.) Narrated by Abu Dawud
