On the authority of Abu Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif, he said: Amer bin Rabi’ah saw Sahl bin Hunaif bathing, and he said: By God, I have never seen anything like this today. And there is no skin hidden. He said: So Sahl was confused, and he came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he was told: O Messenger of God, do you have anything to do with Sahl bin Hanif? By God, he did not raise his head and said: “Are you accusing anyone against him?” They said: We accused Amer bin Rabi’ah. He said: So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called Amer and became harsh to him and said: “Why should one of you kill his brother?” Have you not been blessed? “Ghusl for him.” So Amer washed his face for him And his hands, his elbows, his knees, and the ends of his feet, and inside his garment, were in a bowl, then pouring water was poured over him, and he rejoiced with the people, and there was no harm in it. It was narrated in Sharh al-Sunnah, and it was narrated by Malik, and in his narration: He said: “The evil eye is a right for which one should perform ablution.”
