Hadith #52150
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّ أَبَا جَهْلٍ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: إنَّا لَا نُكذِّبكَ ولكنْ نكذِّبُ بِمَا جئتَ بِهِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِيهِمْ: [فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ ولكنَّ الظالمينَ بآياتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدونَ] رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
On the authority of Ali, that Abu Jahl said to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: We do not disbelieve you, but rather we disbelieve in what you have brought, so God Almighty revealed concerning them: [For they do not They deny you, but the wrongdoers deny the signs of God.] Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi
