Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52207

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: I was calling my mother to Islam while she was a polytheist, so I called her one day and she made me listen to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. And peace be upon him, what I hate, so I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I was crying. I said, O Messenger of God: Pray to God to guide my father’s mother. Kitten and said: “O God, guide Abu Hurairah’s mother.” So I went out, rejoicing in the call of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. When I went to the door, it was empty. My mother heard the sound of my feet and said: Where are you, O Abu Hurairah, and I heard the churn of the water? He said, “So she took a bath and put on her armor.” She hastened to put off her veil, opened the door, and then said, “O Abu Hurairah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant.” And His Messenger, so I returned to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I was crying with joy.
