Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28612

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Yahya bin Saeed narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Ya’la, on the authority of Al-Rabi’ bin Khuthaym, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wrote a square line for us, a line in the middle of the line, and a line outside the line. And around the one in the middle were lines, and said, “This is the son of Adam, and this is his end surrounding him, and this is the one in the middle, the human being, and these lines.” “If he escapes from this, he will be torn apart by this and the outside line of hope.” This is an authentic hadith.
