لقد جئنا إلى الرويفة (RA). وكان حينئذ أمير أنتابولس. فجاء رجل وسلم عليه وقال السلام على الامير. وفي رواية لعبدة (رضي الله عنه) قال: السلام عليك أيها الأمير. فقال له رويفة (رضي الله عنه): لو كنت أنا لإلقاء السلام لأردت عليك السلام. سلمت على حاكم مصر مسلمة بن مخلد. اذهب إليه فيجيبك على سلامتك. فقال الربيع زياد: إذا ذهبنا إليه هناك وهو حاضر في المجلس
We came to Ruaifeh (RA). He was then the Amir (ruler) of Antabulus. A person came and greeted him and said, Assalamu Alal Amir. In the narration of Abdah (RA), he said, Assalamu Alaika Ayyuhal Ameer. Ruaifeh (ra) said to him, if you are me To give greetings, I would certainly respond to your greetings. You greeted the ruler of Egypt, Maslama Ibn Mukhalid. You go to him, he will answer your greetings. Rabi Ziyad (RA) said, If we go to him there and he is present in the Majlis
