Hadith #38251
عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ( لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا) فَقَدْ أَمِنَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ عَجِبْتُ مِمَّا عَجِبْتَ مِنْهُ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ صَدَقَةٌ تَصَدَّقَ اللهُ بِهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْبَلُوا صَدَقَتَهُ
On the authority of Ali bin Umayyah, he said: I said to Omar bin Al-Khattab (There is no blame upon you if you shorten the prayer if you fear that those who disbelieve will tempt you) The people believed, and he said, “I am amazed at what you marveled at.” So I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about that, and he said, “It is charity.”
