عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَلاَ إِنِّى أُوتِيتُ الْكِتَابَ وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ أَلاَ يُوشِكُ رَجُلٌ شَبْعَانُ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يَقُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ فَمَا وَجَدْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ حَلاَلٍ فَأَحِلُّوهُ وَمَا وَجَدْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ فَحَرِّمُوهُ ألاَ وَإنَّ مَا حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ الله فَهُوَ مِثلُ مَا حَرَّم الله
On the authority of Al-Miqdam ibn Maadikarib, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said, “Indeed, I have been given the Book and something like it with it. Will no man ever doubt?” Satisfied on his couch, he says, “You must adhere to this Qur’an. Whatever you find lawful in it, make lawful, and whatever you find unlawful in it
