Hadith #38437
ذهبت أنا وابنا عمي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. فقال أحدهم: يا رسول الله! أعطني بعض الحكم (الإقليمي) من بين جميع الصلاحيات التي أعطاك الله إياها. قال نفس الشيء. فقال: والله إنا لا نعطي هذه الوظيفة لمن يطلب الوظيفة العامة أو يطمع فيها. (البخاري 7149، مسلم 4821)
My two cousins ​​and I went to the Prophet (peace be upon him). One of them said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Give me some (territorial) governance out of all the powers that Allah has given you.' Said the same thing. In reply he said, "By Allah! We certainly do not give this job to anyone who seeks public office or covets it." (Bukhari 7149, Muslim 4821)
