Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #38902

Hadith #38902
وعن أبي عمرو ويقال‏:‏ أبو حكيم النعمان بن مقرن رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ شهدت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا لم يقاتل من أول النهار أخر القتال حتى تزول الشمس وتهب الريح وينزل النصر‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود، والترمذي، وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Abu Amr, and it is said: Abu Hakim al-Nu`man bin Muqrin, may God be pleased with him, he said: I witnessed that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not fight from the beginning of the day, delaying the fighting until the sun went down, the wind blew, and victory descended. ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi, and he said: a good and authentic hadith)).
