Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1273
Abu Hurairah (RA)
وعنه قال‏:‏ سئل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أي العمل أفضل‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏إيمان بالله ورسوله‏"‏ قيل‏:‏ ثم ماذا‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏الجهاد في سبيل الله‏"‏ قيل ثم ماذا‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏حج مبرور‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
‏"‏المبرور‏"‏ هو الذي لا يرتكب صاحبه فيه معصية‏.‏
On his authority, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was asked which work is best? He said: “Faith in God and His Messenger.” It was said: “Then what?” He said: “Jihad for the sake of God.” It was said: “Then what?” He said: “An accepted Hajj” ((Agreed upon)) “The one who is justified” is the one whose owner does not commit a sin

Aisha (RA)
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت‏:‏ قلت يا رسول الله نرى الجهاد أفضل العمل، أفلا نجاهد‏؟‏ فقال‏:‏ ‏:‏ ‏
"‏لَكُنّ أفضل الجهاد حج مبرور‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: I said, O Messenger of God, we see jihad as the best work, so should we not strive? He said: “But the best jihad is an accepted Hajj.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1277
Aisha (RA)
وعنها أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏ما من يوم أكثر من أن يعتق الله فيه عبدًا من النار من يوم عرفة‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On her authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “There is no day on which God frees a servant from Hell more than the Day of Arafat” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1278
Ibn Abbas (RA)
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏عمرة في رمضان تعدل عمرة أو حجة معي‏"‏‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Umrah or Hajj with me.” (Agreed upon)

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1279
Ibn Abbas (RA)
وعنه أن امرأة قالت‏:‏ يا رسول الله إن فريضة الله على عباده في الحج، أدركت أبي شيخًا كبيرًا، لا يثبت على الراحلة، أفأحج عنه‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏نعم‏"‏‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On his authority, a woman said: O Messenger of God, Hajj is obligatory for His servants. My father is very old and cannot stand on his mount. Should I perform Hajj on his behalf? He said: “Yes.” ((Agreed upon)).

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1280
Laqit bin Amir (RA)
وعن لقيط بن عامر رضي الله عنه أنه أتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال‏:‏ إن أبي شيخ كبير لا يستطيع الحج ولا العمرة، ولا الظعن قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏حج عن أبيك واعتمر‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏.‏ ‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Laqit bin Aamir, may God be pleased with him, he came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: My father is an old man and cannot perform Hajj or Umrah, nor can he go to sleep. He said: “Perform Hajj on behalf of your father and perform Umrah” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi and said: A good and authentic hadith.)).

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1281
Sai'b Bin Yazid
وعن السائب بن يزيد رضي الله عنه، قال‏:‏ حج بي مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في حجة الوداع وأنا ابن سبع سنين‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Al-Sa’ib bin Yazid, may God be pleased with him, he said: He performed Hajj with me with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, during the Farewell Pilgrimage when I was seven years old. ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1282
Ibn Abbas (RA)
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لقي ركبا بالروحاء فقال‏:‏ ‏"‏من القوم‏؟‏‏"‏ قالوا‏:‏ المسلمون‏.‏ قالوا من أنت‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏رسول الله‏"‏ فرفعت امرأة صبيًا فقالت‏:‏ ألهذا حج‏؟‏ قال ‏"‏نعم ولك أجر‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, met a woman riding a horse and said: “Who are the people?” They said: “Muslims.” They said: “Who are you?” He said: “The Messenger of God.” Then a woman picked up a boy and said: “Is this Hajj?” He said: “Yes, and you will be rewarded.” (Narrated by Muslim)..

Riyad as-Salihin # 10/1283
Anas ibn Malik (RA)
وعن أنس رضي الله عنه، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حج على رحل وكانت زاملته‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed Hajj on a saddle and she was his companion. ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).

Ibn Abbas (RA)
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال‏:‏ كانت عكاظ ومجنة، وذو المجاز أسواقًا في الجاهلية، فتأثموا أن يتجروا في المواسم، فنزلت‏:‏ ‏{‏ليس عليكم جناح أن تبتغوا فضلا من ربكم‏}‏ ‏(‏‏(‏البقرة‏:‏ 198‏)‏‏)‏ في مواسم الحج‏.‏‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: Ukkaz, Majnah, and Dhu al-Majaz were markets in the pre-Islamic era, so they sinned by trading during the seasons, so the following verse was revealed: {There is no blame on you if you seek bounty from your Lord} ((Al-Baqarah: 198)) during the Hajj seasons. ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).

আবূ জর
وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ بني الإسلام على خمس‏:‏ شهادة أن لا إله إلى الله وأن محمدًا رسول الله، وإقام الصلاة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وحج البيت، وصوم رمضان‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Islam was built on five things: testifying that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, establishing prayer, paying zakat, Hajj to the House, and fasting Ramadan. (Agreed upon)

Qatadah bin Milhan (RA)
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ خطبنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال‏:‏ ‏"‏يا أيها الناس إن الله قد فرض عليكم الحج فحجوا‏"‏ فقال رجل‏:‏ أكل عام يا رسول الله‏؟‏ فسكت، حتى قالها ثلاثًا فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏"‏لو قلت نعم لوجبت، ولما استطعتم‏"‏ ثم قال‏:‏ ‏"‏ذروني ما تركتكم، فإنما هلك من كان قبلكم بكثرة سؤالهم، واختلافهم على أنبيائهم، فإذا أمرتكم بشيء فأتوا منه ما استطعتم، وإذا نهيتكم عن شيء فدعوه‏"‏‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, addressed us and said: “O people, God has made Hajj obligatory upon you, so perform Hajj.” Then a man said: “I eat in general, O Messenger of God?” He remained silent, until he said it three times. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If I had said yes, it would have been obligatory, and you would not have been able.” Then he said: “Leave me alone.” I did not leave you, because those who came before you perished because of their many questions and their disagreement over Their prophets, so if I command you to do something, then do as much of it as you are able, and if I forbid you to do something, then abandon it.” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

Zayd ibn Khaled Juhani (RA)
وعنه قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏
"‏من حج، فلم يرفث ولم يفسق، رجع كيوم ولدته أمه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On his authority, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit obscene acts or commit immoral acts will return as the day his mother gave birth to him.” (Agreed upon)

ম্মু 'উমারা আল-আনসারিয়্যাহ
وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏العمرة إلى العمرة كفارة لما بينهما، والحج المبرور ليس له جزاء إلا الجنة‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On his authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Umrah to Umrah is atonement for what comes between them, and the accepted Hajj has no reward except Paradise.” (Agreed upon)
